Hutchings visits UCLA, talks early top 5

It was a full weekend for Concord (Calif.) De La Salle junior linebacker Michael Hutchings. First the athlete helped the Spartans to a dominating state championship game win on Saturday and then Hutchings took an unofficial visit Sunday to UCLA.
Hutchings is one of the premier prospects in the West for the 2013 class. He has offers from just about every Pac-12 program and is being recruited nationally as well. The Spartans dominated a very good Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake team 35-0 to win back-to-back state titles.
“I’m already thinking about winning No. 3 next year,” Hutchings said. “I’m happy for the seniors that we could send them out on a winning note and I would love to go out the same way next year. Westlake is a great program and to beat them the way we did is really a great accomplishment.”
