La Habra (Calif.) linebacker Aaron Porter (6-foot-1, 230 pounds) has had several schools in for home visits and will take an unofficial visit close to home this weekend.
Porter, the fifth-ranked inside linebacker in the nation by ESPNU, is one of the top recruits on the UCLA commitment list and is still strong with the Bruins, although other schools are trying to get their foot in the door as well.
“I got a nice call from Coach Mora last night,” Porter said. “He had just passed the recruiting test, so it’s cool that he called me on the first night he could. I really like this hire a lot. He’s a defensive minded coach who’s all about toughness, and that’s just what UCLA needs.
