Boise State new leader for Moore

Offensive lineman Steven Moore (Elk Grove, Calif.) took an official visit to Boise State over the weekend, and the Broncos are doing well with the former Arizona commit.

Moore recently narrowed his choices to include the Broncos, Colorado, Cal and UCLA. He already has visited the Buffs and will head to Cal next weekend.

“The visit to Boise was real nice, I enjoyed my time there,” Moore said. “I think the two things that stood out most to me were Coach Pete [Chris Petersen] and the players on the team. It seemed like a big family there, and that’s what I’m looking for. When you get there and see how tight-knit everyone is and how they do things at Boise, you can understand how they win so much being a smaller school.

“Coach Strausser is the offensive line coach, and I really like him a lot. He has been recruiting me hard for a while now, and we have developed a good relationship. He'll be by with Coach Pete tonight (Monday) for a home visit, and I’m looking forward to that. Right now, I would put Boise State on top, but I’m not ready to make a decision yet.”

Moore said an upcoming visit to Cal is what’s holding him back from making a decision.

“I really want to see Cal,” Moore said. “I have my visit this week, and I’m excited to see how Cal compares to what I just saw in Boise. I’m also interested in UCLA, and now that they have a head coach, I’m curious to see who the new OL coach will be. Hopefully that gets moving quick and I can meet those guys, because I would love to have my decision out of the way by Christmas.”
