There were plenty of whispers during the spring that while the West region's 2014 class was good, the 2015 crop has a chance to be truly special.
Tuesday, with the release of the initial ESPN 300 for the 2015 class, those whispers were validated, as 49 West region players made the list. California again leads the way with 32 players in the 300, as the Golden State is home to more than a few golden arms.
Topping the West region is quarterback Josh Rosen (Bellflower, Calif./St. John Bosco), the No. 17 player overall and No. 1 quarterback in the country heading into his junior season. Rosen already holds offers from Cal, Michigan, Tennessee, UCLA and Vanderbilt, among others, as he looks to build upon a strong sophomore campaign with a loaded team looking to make a run at a state title.
