Offensive lineman Lacy Westbrook committed to UCLA a few weeks back but took an official visit to SMU last weekend and really enjoyed the visit.
“I liked it at SMU, it was real nice,” Westbrook said. “It was a fun trip because I knew a lot of the recruits that were there since it was almost all SoCal guys. They have a nice campus, nice facilities, and I met a lot of nice people.
“Adrian Klemm has been recruiting me over a year and SMU was one of the first schools to offer me. He’s a real good OL coach and we have a great relationship. Right now, I still consider myself a UCLA commit but still on the market, if that makes sense. I like UCLA but I want to look around until they hire a coach to see what else is out there.”
