Elk Grove, Calif., offensive lineman Steven Moore was an early commit to Arizona but has decided to go in a different direction and has narrowed things down to four schools.
Moore said he talked to new Wildcat coach Rich Rodriguez last week but has decided the Cats are no longer an option.
“He called to gauge my interest and wanted me to visit, but I’ve kind of moved on to other schools already. I have all my visits set up for December and he asked about January, but I want to be committed by Christmas or at least before New Years. He seemed like a good guy but I have some other schools and have narrowed my choices down to four.
“I have UCLA, Boise State, Cal and Colorado," he said. "I tripped to UCLA during the season and went to Colorado last weekend. I really liked it there, a lot more than I thought I would. Boulder is a great city and the offensive line coach, Steve Marshall has worked with a lot of great players in the past. Plus they need tackles and I could play early there.”
Moore has two more visits lined up over the next two weeks and has been busy with home visits as well.
“Cal was here on Monday, UCLA and Boise State came Tuesday and Colorado will be in next Monday," he said. "I have a visit with Boise State for this weekend and Cal will be (Dec. 16). Hopefully by the time I’m done visiting, UCLA will have a coach and I’ll be able to sit down and make the best decision for me.”
