Bold Prediction for the SEC:

Ole Miss' class will eventually be ranked in the top five nationally with the addition of No. 1 overall prospect Robert Nkemdiche from Loganville (Ga.) Grayson and possibly ESPN 150 prospects Chris Jones from Houston (Miss.) High and Antonio Conner from Batesville (Miss.) South Panola.

SEC East

Florida
Biggest need: Florida wants immediate help at defensive tackle. Jarran Reed from Scooba (Miss.) East should be able to provide that if he decides to sign with the Gators on national signing day.
Biggest recruit: The Gators have two five-star commitments: cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III from Tampa (Fla.) Wharton and running back Kelvin Taylor from Belle Glade (Fla.) Glades. No other school in the country can say that.

Georgia
Biggest need: The Bulldogs would like to pick up another top offensive lineman. They looked destined to land Laremy Tunsil from Lake City (Fla.), but the competition has heated up for him lately.
Biggest recruit: With 12 ESPN 300 commitments, Georgia has plenty of star power. However, it's impossible to overvalue the commitment of Brice Ramsey from Kingsland (Ga.) Camden, a quarterback the Bulldogs can build around.

Ryan Timmons has committed to Kentucky.

The ESPN 300 prospect from Frankfort (Ky.) Franklin considered late offers from Florida and Ohio State but ultimately chose to stay close to home, according to his head coach Chris Tracy. Kentucky became more of a factor in Timmons' recruitment when it made a coaching change. Timmons quickly grew close to first-year Wildcats head coach Mark Stoops and his staff.

Timmons announced the decision at his school. He will sign his national letter of intent on Wednesday, national signing day.

Patience is paying off for Ryan Timmons as big-time scholarship offers keep coming in.

Ohio State offered the ESPN 300 athlete during a visit to Timmons' school on Tuesday. Timmons has long expressed interest in the Buckeyes, but coaches there had yet to extend a scholarship offer. Timmons said head coach Urban Meyer explained the situation and that there were no hard feelings about the delay.

"He said he's not a guy that's going to offer a guy and take it away," the athlete prospect from Frankfort (Ky.) Franklin County said.

The Ohio State offer came two days after Florida offered the 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect. Former Kentucky head coach Joker Phillips visited Timmons on Monday. He is now the receivers coach at Florida.

Kentucky's hiring of Mark Stoops could potentially shake up Ryan Timmons' recruitment.

For weeks, it has seemed likely that the No. 2-rated undecided prospect in Kentucky would end up at Ohio State. He has visited Columbus often and will take an official visit to Ohio State in January so his mother can see the school. Stoops' hiring, however, has Timmons intrigued.

"Good," the four-star prospect from Frankfort (Ky.) Franklin said when asked what he thought about the hiring. "Glad it's over. [I'll] try and get ahold of him."

Ryan Timmons continues to show strong interest in Ohio State but said a commitment to the Buckeyes isn't planned for the immediate future. The ESPN 300 athlete will take his third trip to Columbus this weekend for the Michigan game.

"No, not until my mother sees it," the four-star prospect from Frankfort (Ky.) Franklin County said about possibly committing during the trip. "She won't be coming with me this weekend."

Still, the Buckeyes should feel good about their standing with Timmons. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound junior has spoken glowingly about potential opportunities in Ohio State's offense. He also repeatedly has complimented the game-day experience at Ohio State.

Don't try to peg Ryan Timmons into a single position.

Receiver? Yeah, he can do that. Tailback? Yep, that too. That's why he's able to choose between a strong list of finalists: Ohio State, Arkansas, Illinois, Purdue and Kentucky.

Just ask, Chris Tracy, his coach at Frankfort (Ky.) Franklin High School about Timmons' versatility. Here, the coach answers some questions about his star player, also an ESPN 300 athlete prospect.
