By Gerry Hamilton

The nation's No. 1 prospect Leonard Fournette (New Orleans/Saint Augustine) was presented on Friday his honorary game jerseys for the 2014 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game during the American Family Insurance Selection Tour. The event was part of the three-month American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the Under Armour All-America Game.

The nation's No. 1 player Leonard Fournette is considering LSU, Alabama, USC, Miami (FL) and others.
Fournette is one of 90 players selected to compete in the seventh annual Under Armour All-America Game, a nationally televised competition spotlighting the country’s top high school seniors. The 2014 Under Armour All-America Game is set for 4 p.m. ET Jan. 2 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla., and will be televised on ESPN.

“First of all, I would like to thank God, my parents, my team and see y’all in Florida at the Under Armour Game,” Fournette said.

Short and to the point, Saint Augustine head coach Cyrus Crutchfield says his star player embodies a student athlete.

“This young man is well deserving of this recognition," Crutchfield said. "He’s a young man of high character and embodies the true meaning of student athlete.”

For Fournette, playing in the Under Armour All-America Game is a culmination of hard work and dedication.

“All-American means ... all my hard work and dedication is paying off. It paid off, and they selected me out of two million people and I thank God for that. I’m mostly looking forward to playing against all the great players around the nation that everyone always talks about ... the ranked people,”

According to Fournette, his parents and the positive people in his life are the reason he is in this position.

“My parents and the positive people that stayed around me," he said. "I handle the pressure by saying my prayers every night and keeping myself ground and humble; and that’s pretty much it.”

The 6-foot-1, 226-pound Fournette is considering LSU, Alabama, USC, Miami (FL) and others.
