USF offers in-state quarterback
By Corey Dowlar
Before Skip Holtz was fired at USF, the Bulls were probably in the market for two quarterbacks in the Class of 2013. That probably remained true after Willie Taggart took over the program in the winter.
But USF wasn't going to take a quarterback just to have one. Just Michael White (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./University School) fit the mold.
This time around, USF will definitely want to make sure to address the depth there, and on Monday, a new offer went out to Sean White (Hollywood, Fla./Chaminade-Madonna).
"I talked to the coaches this morning," he said.
Taggart's impression on recruits in the state continues to be one of promise. Despite not having coached a single game yet, prospects believe USF is on their way back towards the top of the Big East.
It's much the same with this 6-foot-1, 200-pound quarterback.
"I like them," he said. "It seems like a cool program. And with Coach Taggart, they should be on the rise."
Besides the USF offer, White also has Boston College, Hawaii and Miami (OH).
