Gators flip 3-star punter from Ohio State

The Gators have added yet another player to their 2013 class.
Just a few hours after OL/TE Trevon Young (Bradenton, Fla./Braden River) announced he would sign with Florida on Friday, the school announced it received a signed letter of intent from Johnny Townsend (Orlando, Fla./Boone). Townsend had been committed to Ohio State since June.
Florida returns sophomore All-American punter Kyle Christy, and Townsend will likely redshirt. Townsend is the ninth-ranked punter in the nation according to ESPN. As a senior at Boone, he averaged 44.6 yards per punt.
If Florida receives the letter of intent for Young as expected, the Gators will finish their No. 2-ranked class with 30 signees.
