Ford is considering Auburn, Florida State and Georgia in addition to Tennessee. Clearly, the competition is strong. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Ford has taken official visits to Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Auburn over the last three weekends. Vandy seems out of the running since Ford decommitted from the school this week.
Turner was a prime target for first-year Tennessee head coach Butch Jones before he left Cincinnati to be a Vol. It's unclear what that relationship is like now or if Turner will even take an official visit to Tennessee. Even if he does, he doesn't have the frame that the Vols need to fill their backfield. He's just 5-9 and 180 pounds.
At 6-2 and 205 pounds, Wilkins is the closest on Tennessee's board to a full-time, SEC tailback. Wilkins has said he might take an official visit to Tennessee on Feb. 1. If he does the Volunteers are in the hunt. Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, however, look tough to beat. Arkansas is also in the running.
