“I think he really liked the school and the coaches,” Guandolo said. “And I think he thought it was a good fit for him defensively. He wanted to go to a place where football is important to the community, and it is at Nebraska.”
Joseph was part of a group of seniors that led Cypress Bay to the Class 8A state championship game. Guandolo said Joseph’s maturity and versatility are major strengths.
“I think you can put him anywhere in the secondary,” Guandolo added. “He’s going to do the right things and he’s committed to being a winner on and off the field. I think Nebraska got themselves an excellent player.”
Joseph previously took official visits to Wisconsin, Purdue and Kentucky. He was scheduled to take an official to Louisville this weekend but it’s unlikely that trip will take place.
