Tunsil spends time with Bama coaches

By Corey Long

Five-star prospect Laremy Tunsil (Lake City, Fla./Columbia) has seen Alabama and Georgia plenty of times during his recruitment.

So there was very little that was going to surprise the 6-foot-6, 295-pound senior offensive lineman on his official visit to Tuscaloosa, Ala.

And unfortunately the program hadn’t received its most recent prized possession yet – the 2012 BCS Championship trophy.

“Naw, I didn’t see the trophy,” Tunsil said. “I don’t think its gotten to the school yet.”

As for the visit, the nation's top-ranked offensive lineman said there weren’t many surprises and he saw everything he expected to see.

“It was all right,” Tunsil said. “I’ve been to Alabama and Georgia a bunch of times so I’ve seen everything both programs have. Just use these visits to spend time with the coaches.”

Tunsil will take his official visit to Georgia next weekend. The two SEC powers are widely considered to be the favorites for the nation’s top-rated offensive lineman. Visits to Ole Miss (Jan. 25) and Florida State (Feb. 1) remain on the docket.

His final decision will likely be part of ESPNU’s coverage on national signing day.
