Three-star TE Parsons eyeing two schools
By Damon Sayles
Three-star tight end Mitchell Parsons (Parker, Colo./Chaparral) is weighing two schools. As national signing day approaches, an upcoming official visit could be the ultimate factor in him making a final decision.
Parsons is down to Vanderbilt and Ole Miss, and he will take a visit to Vanderbilt on Jan. 18. While he said both schools are fairly equal, a commitment could come after the Vanderbilt trip -- but it could go either way.
“I like the education at Vandy, and I love the campus for Ole Miss,” Parsons said. “I like both of the coaches.”
Parsons, the No. 5 player in Colorado and the No. 14 tight end nationally in the 2013 class, is being recruited to Vanderbilt by quarterbacks coach Ricky Rahne. He’s being recruited to Ole Miss by recruiting coordinator Maurice Harris and offensive line coach Matt Luke.
Parsons once was committed to Colorado, but he parted ways with the Buffaloes in October.
