LSU commit Herron has lots of interest
By Dave Hooker
Frank Herron has seen strong interest from several schools hoping to test his commitment to LSU, which he made in June. The defensive end from Memphis (Tenn.) Central is listening, but it doesn't seem as though he's wavering.
Still, schools keep calling.
Tennessee, Ole Miss and Southern California have shown interest in the ESPN 300 prospect. None have made a significant dent, according to Herron's coach, Bryan Williams.
"Always going to listen to the coaches and answer their call," Williams said. "Never going to be rude, but solid on school choice."
Herron is one of three defensive ends committed to the Tigers. They also have two ESPN 150 defensive tackles committed, and Herron has noticed.
"He loves LSU and is excited about the class they are putting together and knows it is the best D-line class in the country," Williams said.
Herron is the No. 291 prospect in the country and the No. 6 prospect in Tennessee.
