Ford evaluating his options

By Corey Dowlar

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Isaiah Ford (Jacksonville, Fla./Trinity Christian Academy) knows what he wants, but doesn't know where he wants it.

Having offers from Cincinnati, FIU, Georgia Tech, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisville, North Carolina, South Carolina, UCF, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech, he does have options. But the 6-foot-2, 165-pound receiver is looking for the best match he can find.

"I am looking for somewhere where I can come in and compete for a starting job right away and that is going to fit me as one that throws the ball around," he said.

As is the case with most junior prospects right now, Ford doesn't have a team at the top. It is a little too early for that for him, but one SEC school has definitely stood out in terms of frequency of communication.

"No favorites, but I have been hearing the most from South Carolina," he said.

Ford said he is most looking forward to competing against other top players at the Under Armour 2013 Combine.
