Clemson loses ESPN 150 DE Eliah Daniel
By Jared Shanker
After months of speculation, Clemson lost an ESPN 150 defensive end. And his name is not Robert Nkemdiche.
Avon (Ind.) lineman Elijah Daniel, No. 82 in the ESPN 150, decommitted from the Tigers on Tuesday days after returning from an official visit to Mississippi State.
"Interested in other schools," Daniel wrote in a text message.
Daniel officially visited Marshall, where his older brother plays, in September and has an official visit planned to Ole Miss. Florida could host him for an official visit after the season. He originally scheduled a visit to Gainesville for Oct. 6 but the staff asked him to visit in either December or January.
Daniel has family in the Southeast and is interested in several SEC programs, as well as nearby Indiana.
