Loganville (Ga.) Grayson senior Robert Nkemdiche is the No. 1 prospect in the ESPN 150 and considered one of the most talented defensive linemen to play in Georgia. As a highly sought-after recruit with offers from the likes of Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, LSU and Oregon, Nkemdiche has agreed to chronicle his senior season and recruiting experience through a weekly diary with RecruitingNation.
Hey, what’s up everybody, this is Robert Nkemdiche. I told you guys last week the game against South Gwinnett was a big one for us in AAAAAA Region 8, and we took care of business, winning 41-0. We jelled together in practice all week and it showed on the field. We came out on fire, and the defense did great. A couple of players really stood out to me. Ryan Carter did a really good job. David Kamara did a great job and Wayne Gallman did a great job. We were coming at them from all angles, and I am really proud of everyone on my team. I had four touchdowns, 10 tackles and four tackles for loss, so I did a pretty good job, too.
The best part about Friday was really just getting back on the field. I have missed only one high school game before, and that was two weeks ago against Berkmar (Lilburn, Ga.). I was on the sideline cheering my team on like a little cheerleader. I have to admit, I never want to experience that again, so hopefully I got that out of the way for good.
