SPANISH FORT, Ala. -- Senior running back Jordan Huff (Mobile, Ala./St. Paul’s) suffered a torn ACL a year ago that cut his season short. Most colleges backed off after the injury. He had to prove he was the same player he was before he got hurt.
After a slow start to his senior campaign, Huff showed everybody he was back on Friday night with a breakout performance against Class 5A rival Spanish Fort High School. Huff carried the ball 19 times for 132 yards and two touchdowns as the Saints won 31-21.
“I knew coming into this season, everybody was doubting me,” he said. “They didn’t know how I would come back or whatever. I knew I had to show them what I could do, that I was back and better than I was when I first got hurt. I think I proved that tonight.
