Four-star wide receiver Rodney Adams (St. Petersburg, Fla./Lakewood) took a step back from his recruitment after pulling out of Florida's class in August.
But this past week Adams went on an unofficial visit to watch UCF defeat Florida International, and the 6-foot-1, 165-pound senior appears ready to move on.
"I had a real good time at UCF and the whole atmosphere was a lot of fun," Adams said. "The offense was great and it was just a nice time overall."
The Knights appear to be in a good spot to land Adams with two of his teammates, Shaquill and Shaquem Griffin, already part of the 2013 recruiting class. However the Orlando school will have some stiff competition.
"Right now I'm dealing with UCF, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest and Houston," Adams said. "Those are the four programs that stand out and those are probably the four programs that I'm going to be looking at from here on in."
Adams said he is working on scheduling an official visit to West Virginia in November. He admits the Mountaineers offense is one he is looking forward to seeing.
"They are so explosive and they utilize the receivers so well," Adams said. "It's impressive to watch the sort of numbers they put up each week."
The West Virginia official visit is the only one Adams currently has scheduled and there's a good chance he'll wait to the end of his senior season to take any others.
"I'm going to take my time and not rush into a decision," Adams added.
