Camion Patrick, Tennessee's second-highest rated commitment for the 2013 class, will not play high school football for Lenoir City this fall, where he transferred from Clinton High School following the 2009 season. The team was recently informed of Patrick's pending absence.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Patrick committed to Tennessee in January. He has since said he is fielding interest from other schools, including Alabama and Arkansas.
Because of Tennessee transfer rules, it seems unlikely that Patrick would be able to play at another high school this fall. Junior college or prep school could be a possibility. Counting Patrick, the Volunteers have 15 commitments.
Patrick is rated the 243rd best prospect in the nation. He is rated the 37th best receiver. He had more than 1,000 all-purpose yards last season.
