Although ESPN 300 defensive end Jordan Sherit (Tampa, Fla./Hillsborough) didn't pick up the defensive line MVP award at The Opening, the 6-foot-4, 245-pound senior thought it was a rewarding event.
"I had lot of fun here and I went up against some really great competition," Sherit said. "Some of the guys here were pretty sore about not being in the final group but I don't take offense to it.
"I thought I played well when I was called on and everyone here is pretty much a five-star athlete."
