After admittedly not doing much for his spring break, Armwood (Seffner, Fla.) wide receiver Alvin Bailey had a busy weekend.
First, the 6-foot, 170-pound junior traveled to Florida State for a short visit and a track meet then returned to help Team Tampa finished second at the IMG Madden 7-on-7 regional tournament in Bradenton.
Bailey said he didn't have a lot of time to see Florida State.
"I didn't get to see as much as I wanted because when we got there I realized I left my track uniform at home," Bailey said. "So we had to buy some new stuff."
Still the interest between school and player are mutual.
"I've been talking to Coach [Lawrence] Dawsey lately and they are really interested in me and seeing what I can do and how I could fit in there," Bailey said. "They are talking with me along with USF, Notre Dame and Georgia."
Georgia offered Bailey a couple of weeks ago and the receiver said he will try to get to the campus before the summer.
"My coach and I have been talking about visiting there and a few other schools sometime soon," Bailey said. "I'll see Georgia and probably Florida State again."
Another regional program has also jumped into the fray.
"Arkansas has been pretty active lately and talking to me a lot," Bailey said. "They are really trying to get me there to see the campus and check out their offense."
