Jaylen Miller (Gaffney, S.C.) is a defensive line prospect from a South Carolina powerhouse. Two schools have offered him at this point and more are on the horizon.
“North Carolina was the first team to offer him,” Gaffney coach Dan Jones said. “Duke has also offered. I know he’s talking to some other teams like Maryland, NC State, Clemson and Furman. He has been to some junior days but I am not exactly sure which ones. I think he went to both South Carolina and Clemson.”
Miller, 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds, can be projected at both end and tackle, depending on scheme. Regardless of his position Jones says putting in the work during the offseason has never been an issue for Miller.
“Jaylen has been working hard since the ninth grade,” Jones said. “He’s got that factor to him. He doesn’t mind working hard and that’s hard to find sometimes.”
