Gulliver Prep (Miami, Fla.) defensive end Stacy Thomas is still getting used to all the recruiting attention.
With nearly a dozen offers already, including ones from heavy hitters like Florida, FSU, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and West Virginia, Thomas still isn't sure how it got to this point.
"My coach told me at the end of last season that this was going to happen," Thomas said. "I really didn't expect it to go like this or happen this fast."
Thomas traveled to both Florida and Florida State for junior day events.
"Florida is my dream school so it was a nice trip and they have all these brand new facilities," Thomas said. "Big locker room, big weight room, all this stuff.
"I went to FSU when I was a sophomore as well but this trip was better because I had a chance to talk to Coach [Jimbo] Fisher and that's been one of the highlights of my spring."
Thomas is done traveling for now but he's looking to venture to some out-of-state programs over the summer.
"I really want to go to LSU, Georgia Tech and Louisville and probably Vanderbilt too," Thomas said. "They have all shown interest and after Florida and FSU those are the programs I'm thinking about."
Thomas had 20 tackles for loss and eight sacks as a junior. He is planning on working out at the NFTC camp on April 15 at Barry University in Miami.
