Tampa (Fla.) Plant offensive lineman Richy Klepal has had a ton of early interest, already visited South Florida for its junior day event and has trips scheduled to Florida State, Miami and Auburn over the next month
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound junior has nearly a dozen offers with South Florida, Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Indiana, UCF, North Carolina and Missouri leading the way.
He is expecting more interest real soon.
"Both Florida State and Miami have shown some interest and I'm planning on going both places to check out a spring practice," Klepal said. "I just want to get a chance to talk with the coaches and check out the programs."
Klepal was planning on visiting Auburn for junior day but that trip fell through so he's also hoping to get there for the spring.
"I've spoken to Coach [Gene] Chizik and Coach [Jeff] Grimes already," Klepal said. "They are interested in me and I'm hoping to take a trip there during the next month."
Klepal was impressed with South Florida and said that the hometown program will definitely be under consideration.
"I had a great time at their junior day and got a lot of questions answered about the academics and everything the program has to offer," Klepal said. "I like Coach [Skip] Holtz and I think they are definitely some advantages to playing close to home."
