With a 1,000-yard season in 2011 and a strong start to the offseason, St. Pete Catholic (St. Petersburg, Fla.) running back Ryan Green has continued to raise his recruiting profile and recently added offers from Virginia and Illinois.
Green, 5-9, 180, is at well over a dozen offers for the year with FSU, Auburn, Florida, Notre Dame and Ohio State amongst the group.
"It's all a great blessing and it's very humbling," Green said. "I could have never imagined things would be happening at this rate."
While Green said he wants to jump on his recruitment early and keep things from getting out of control, he will have to finish his basketball season first.
"I'm just trying to do one thing at a time and be committed to it," Green said. "I'm having fun playing basketball."
Green isn't sure about his camp schedule yet but said visits to Florida, FSU and Notre Dame are on tap for the summer.
"I'll probably do a couple of camps too but I haven't set a schedule yet," Green added.
