The University of Tennessee landed a commitment for their 2013 class Wednesday with the addition of defensive back Mackensie Alexander (Immokalee, Fla./Immokalee). Alexander confirmed via text message that he did indeed pledge to the Volunteers.
“Mackensie is a tremendous player,” said Jerrod Ackley, Immokalee’s football coach. “He’s a kid that can play in press coverage and in zone coverage. He’s a terrific kick and punt return guy. This kid can do just about anything on the football field.”
Alexander, 5-foot-11 and 175-pounds, already has scholarship offers from teams like Florida, Miami, South Carolina and Ohio State.
