Running back D.K. Buford (Oxford, Miss./Lafayette) committed to play in his hometown for Ole Miss, he confirmed in a text message. The Rebels rode their 2013 recruiting momentum to land the prized junior.
“I feel like they did a great job recruiting,” Buford told the Jackson Clarion-Ledger. “They’ve been doing an awesome job recruiting all season long. They know what it takes to be a winning school.”
Buford, a 5-foot-10, 190-pound ESPN Watch List talent, also holds a scholarship offer from Mississippi State. Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, LSU, Missouri, Oregon and Tennessee were among the other programs showing early interest.
