Defensive end Chandler Burkett (Panama City, Fla./Deane Bozeman) flipped his commitment Monday from Florida International to Maryland, after an official visit with the Terps, according to multiple reports.
The 6-foot-4, 222-pound senior, who originally pledged to FIU in July, was also offered by Florida Atlantic, South Florida and Troy.
Entering his senior season, Burkett had amassed 142 total tackles, 53 tackles for loss and 10 sacks.
