Alex McCallister (Clemons, N.C./West Forsyth) is a four-star defensive end prospect that is coming off a visit to Georgia Tech. The 6-foot-7 and 220-pound senior was impressed with the Yellow Jackets, according to head coach Adrian Snow, but the big news is that McCallister is starting to whittle things down.
“He really enjoyed it,” Snow said. “And Georgia Tech is a school that he has always liked. He likes the people there and they really wanted him to commit.”
Snow said that McCallister is now down to three schools -- Georgia Tech, Florida and North Carolina. He was scheduled to visit North Carolina this weekend but that trip was cancelled because of the coaching change in Chapel Hill. Snow says that McCallister will likely set up an official to UNC at a later date. He’s scheduled to visit Florida next month.
