Kevin Mouhon (Norcross, Ga./Norcross) is just another one of the extremely talented prospects inside the Blue Devils' program. His teammates, Myles Autry and Lorenzo Carter, already have a bunch of offers too.
But 6-foot-1, 210-pound junior linebacker got another ringing endorsement this week when Florida State offered him.
"I found out from my coaches," he said. "I was surprised, but I was happy. I had been there for a camp over the summer. Their school, their team, is pretty good."
The Seminoles join Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Tennessee and Wake Forest as schools that have offered. Though the FSU tender is significant, Mouhon isn't ready to end the process because of it.
"The school is pretty big to me," he said. "I like the school, but it isn't like I am basing where I am going to go off of that because they offered me."
Up next for the Norcross teammates is likely a couple of junior day trips. Mouhon doesn't know where he will go yet, but knows that he will be on the road more than once.
"I haven't decided on that," Mouhon said. "But I should be going to a couple of schools."
When it comes to scheme, Mouhon doesn't really have a preference. 4-3 or 3-4, it doesn't matter -- he just wants to play and contribute.
"No, not really as long as I am on the field and have an opportunity to play," he said. "It is not a big deal. Any defensive scheme is OK for me."
As Mouhon's recruitment will continue to pick up this spring, there are four schools he would really be happy to hear from.
"I really want an offer from Alabama, LSU, Miami and UGA," he said.
ESPN projects Mouhon as an outside linebacker.
