Junior college linebacker Aaron Breed (Athens, Texas/Trinity Valley Community College) had 53 tackles and two pass breakups in nine games played. His sophomore season didn’t have the limelight as some of the other junior college defenders -- including a couple teammates -- but it was very effective.
Breed’s talents were recognized by Grambling State, and on Wednesday -- the first day for mid-year juco transfers to sign -- Breed will sign a national letter of intent to play for the Tigers.
An all-Southwest Junior College Football Conference honorable mention selection this season, Breed chose Grambling over an offer from Division II Southwestern Oklahoma State and interest from Wyoming, FCS school South Dakota and Division II schools Northwestern Oklahoma State and Midwestern State. He was recruited to Grambling by offensive line coach Ben Wilkerson.
