Three-star Auburn commit Lemond Johnson (Cooper City, Fla./Cooper City) admittedly doesn’t know much about new head coach Gus Malzahn, but he’s happy to have him.
“I’m glad that we have a coach,” Johnson said. “I don’t know much about Coach Gus other than him being the offensive coordinator a few years ago and him coaching at Arkansas State.
“I’m glad he’s familiar with a lot of the staff and I hope he keeps most of them because they are good coaches.”
Johnson said that he’s expecting to hear from the Auburn coaches soon and is focused on honoring his commitment with the Tigers. He is being recruited to play safety.
