Tray Matthews works to finish class 

ATHENS, Ga. -- All-American safety Bacarri Rambo went out in style during his last game at Sanford Stadium. The senior had two forced fumbles, returned the second fumble 49 yards, returned an interception for 27 yards and racked up eight tackles. After all that, Rambo turned to a visiting prospect and charged Tray Matthews (Newnan, Ga./Newnan) with continuing his legacy.

“After the game he walked up to me and was like, ‘Man, it is your time now. I am kind of a great player in the fans' eyes, but I am passing the baton to you and I want you to lead this defense and lead this team to another SEC championship,' ” Matthews said. “I have some big shoes to fill.”

The ESPN 150 safety is committed to Georgia and knows that the Bulldogs are losing a number of players on defense next season. Matthews has been trying for more than a year to convince his best friend, top inside linebacker Reuben Foster (Auburn, Ala./Auburn), to join him at Georgia.
