Running back Brendan Douglas (Augusta, Ga./Aquinas) told his dad earlier this fall he wanted to make his decision by the eighth game of the season. Before he knew it, his senior season was over. The two talked it over Tuesday and decided now was a good time to end the recruiting process.

"Paul Johnson was really excited about it tonight when I told him I wanted to be a Yellow Jacket," Douglas said. "They are ready for me to get up there next year and help them at B-Back."

Douglas committed to Georgia Tech over offers from Georgia Southern, Wofford, James Madison, Samford and the Citadel. Douglas rushed for 1369 yards and 22 touchdowns, had 98 yards receiving and one touchdown, added 138 tackles, three sacks and three fumbles forced on defense, and averaged 40.11 yards per punt. The 6-foot, 211 pound senior was somewhat surprised that other FBS offers did not come in.
