With two scholarship offers already in hand, many more could be on the way for 2014 offensive lineman prospect Christian Taylor.
The junior from Lexington (S.C.) White Knoll has long held offers from Coastal Carolina and NC State, and now other schools are making a push for the 6-foot-5, 330-pound prospect.
Taylor said he is being recruited by Clemson, Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Ole Miss, Vandy, Duke, Kentucky, Stanford, Oregon, California, UCLA, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech and Auburn.
"I have a feeling that I'm about to pick a few more up really soon," Taylor said via Facebook message, referring to scholarship offers.
When asked what he was looking for in a school, he stated, "A team that plays as a family, has good chemistry. When they face adversity they don't get down on themselves, a place where I can get a great education ... and a place with great facilities and coaches."
NC State is the first BCS school to offer Taylor a scholarship. That, however, doesn't mean the Wolfpack are the team to beat.
"I think NC State is an awesome school and has a lot I look for," he stated, "but there are some things they don't have. I love all the coaches and the way the team works together."
Taylor said he prefers Nike athletic equipment. That's not good for NC State, which is sponsored by adidas.
However, Taylor said he is also fond of NC State's academic offerings. With more competition coming, the Wolfpack likely will have a fight on their hands.
