Three-star defensive tackle and fullback Kennard Swanson (Lakeland, Fla./Lake Gibson) was offered by Florida on Monday, according to Lake Gibson assistant coach Robert Whitaker.
The 6-foot, 242-pound senior is committed to LSU and is being recruited as a fullback by both SEC programs. At a defensive lineman, Swanson has 16 sacks this season.
The Gators also offered Swanson’s junior teammate Kendall Gant. It’s the first offer for the 6-2, 180-pound Gant, a safety.
Whitaker said Gant will likely be in attendance at next Saturday’s Florida-Florida State game.
