Class of 2014 running back Cortavious Givens (St. Petersburg, Fla./Admiral Farragut Academy) saw a Virginia coach keeping an eye on him during the spring, but the 5-foot-10, 195-pound junior didn’t have a chance to catch up with him.
Earlier this weekend Virginia assistant Vincent Brown took another look at Givens and made sure the junior running back knew to get in touch.
“My coach told me to call him because he thought they were ready to offer,” Givens said. “I called and he told me the good news."
