COCOA, Fla. – Despite outgaining Cocoa (Fla.) by more than 100 yards, Orlando (Fla.) Jones fell short 31-24 and will likely settle for second in its district.
ESPN 150 athlete Levonte “Kermit” Whitfield, however, arguably had his best game to date with a 56-yard touchdown reception and a 15-yard touchdown run while lining up as a wildcat quarterback.
Although Whitfield didn’t get his hands on the ball until late in the first quarter, he became much more involved in the final three quarters as a quarterback and wide receiver.
