Three-star wide receiver Zach Benjamin (Tampa, Fla./Tampa Catholic) received the offer he had been waiting for, as the USF Bulls offered the 6-foot-5, 180-pound senior Tuesday night.
The Bulls are the first BCS program to offer Benjamin. He also holds offers from Western Kentucky, Bowling Green, Arkansas State, Ohio, Toledo and Air Force.
“It’s a great feeling to get an offer from USF,” he exclaimed. “I love the program. I love the fact that the program closest to home has offered.”
Benjamin gained major recruiting traction in the spring, especially with his performance at the IMG Madden Football 7-on-7 national tournament. So far this season he has 15 catches for 251 yards and 5 touchdowns.
He said he has no plans right now for official visits but it seems clear that the Bulls have shot to the top of the list.
“I’m just a real big fan of USF, so this is something I’m been working hard for,” Benjamin added. “I’ll probably get in touch with the coaches real soon.”
