FOLEY, Ala. -- Junior wide receiver DeMarcus Bingham (Foley, Ala./Foley) is still waiting on his first scholarship offer, but he might not have to wait long. Bingham believes Mississippi State might offer either this week or next week, and other interested schools could follow suit.
“He’s getting a lot of mail from a lot of different people,” Foley coach Todd Watson said. “A lot of recruiters now are a little more cautious with early offers. I think a lot of them want to see what he does in his junior year and go back and evaluate tape from there.”
Aside from a minor ankle injury he suffered early on, Bingham is putting together a strong junior season. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound wide receiver has caught a touchdown in nearly every game for Foley this year.
