Even Tennessee's eighth straight loss to Florida couldn't dampen the experience for three-star linebacker Dominic Zanca (Altamonte Springs, Fla./Lake Brantley).
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound senior said that he got his Saturday started early and hung out with some of the fans that were at the ESPN College Gameday set.
"The fans were just insane," Zanca said. "I've never experienced a mass of people like that. It was just awesome.
"And when the team ran through the 'Power T' I just got chills. The roar of the crowd was amazing. The fans, some of them knew me and were telling me they couldn't wait for me to get here."
Zanca committed to Tennessee in April and said he's 100 percent solid to the Volunteers and hopes that the losing streak to Florida will end soon.
"The foundation of the program is real solid and this game just motivates me that much more," Zanca said. "We've got some work to do but it's turning around."
Even thought there were several uncommitted recruiting targets at the game, Zanca said he generally kept his distance and spent most of his time with fellow commits Corey Vereen (Winter Garden, Fla./West Orange) and Jalen Reeves-Maybin (Clarksville, Tenn./Northeast).
