Toward the end of the summer, the consensus was that ESPN 150 athlete Rashard Fant (Fairburn, Ga./Our Lady of Mercy) was close to announcing his decision.
“I thought that Ole Miss might be the school after talking about it with some friends and family,” Fant said. “But after my visit I just did not feel like it was the right time. What kept me from pulling the trigger was me just not wanting to make a decision so fast off of emotion. I do not want to decommit for any reason.”
Then another Southeastern Conference program jumped into the mix with an offer.
