As a junior, quarterback Joshua Dobbs (Alpharetta, Ga./Alpharetta) torched defenses with both his arm and his leg, passing for 3,113 yards and 29 touchdowns, and rushing for 200 yards and two touchdowns. Last Friday, the 6-foot-3, 190-pound ESPN 300 prospect picked up where he left off last year. In a 35-28 loss to Milton, Dobbs completed 20-of-38 passes for 234 yards, two touchdowns and rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown. He even unveiled a spin move that looked right out of a video game, at one point using it multiple times in one play to avoid tackles and for a 46-yard run to the end zone.
"I do not even know where that came from," Dobbs said after the game. "Honestly it was just reaction."
The No. 6 dual threat quarterback committed to Arizona State in June, and he feels he will be well utilized in Tempe, Ariz.
