Vic Wharton III gets offer via Facebook

A quick Facebook encounter resulted in a scholarship offer for Vic Wharton III.
The 2014 athlete prospect from Nashville (Tenn.) Christ Presbyterian said a coach from Louisiana-Lafayette offered him the scholarship this week after contacting him on the social networking site.
"I've never even talked to them... I'll check into it but I have no idea about them,” the junior prospect said.
The competition is already getting steep for Wharton. He has scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.
