CINCINNATI -- Vanderbilt will get a chance to wow three-star linebacker Skai Moore (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./University School), and that is all any program can ask for.
Moore is down to Vanderbilt and Rutgers, and as of now he is only planning to visit Vandy before making a decision.
“They’re building something great over there. The season they had last year -- close games against Georgia, they took LSU real deep into the third quarter -- Coach [James] Franklin is doing something good over there,” Moore said. “And you can’t beat the education as well.
“I’m excited about going back up there and making a visit and making my decision.”
The Commodores are behind Rutgers, though. Moore’s teammate Nick Internicola is committed to Rutgers, too.
“Right now it’s Rutgers. … Early playing time was big over there as well as Vanderbilt. The people there are great,” he said. “I fell in love with it once I was up there.”
Moore spent three days at Rutgers; he spent less than 10 hours at Vanderbilt.
He wants to set up a visit to Vanderbilt as soon as possible and make a decision shortly after.
