The recruiting aftermath of LSU’s 9-6 victory over Alabama remains to be seen. However amongst the 101,000-plus people at Bryant-Denny Stadium were a who’s who of top prospects in the Class of 2012, 2013 and 2014.
ESPNU 150 prospects Noor Davis (Leesburg, Fla./Leesburg) and Avery Young (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) were on official visits to Alabama, while Bama commits Amari Cooper (Miami/Northwestern) and Chris Black (Jacksonville, Fla./ First Coast) were also in attendance.
Florida’s strong Class of 2013 (and 2014) was also well represented and had a few comments about what they saw Saturday.
Derrick Henry, RB, Yulee (Georgia commit): “Great trip and great atmosphere. Just wish [Alabama] would have won so I could see what it was like after a big game there.”
Will Likely, ATH, Glades Central: “It was great and the most exciting and intense game I'd ever seen.”
Sony Michel, RB, Plantation American Heritage: "It was a great experience and a different atmosphere for me and something I would like to experience again.”
Class of 2013 Bishop Kenny (Jacksonville, Fla.) wide receiver Ahmad Fulwood wasn’t able to attend the game due to some late-minute snags in travel but had strong feelings about what he saw.
“From beginning to end the college football game I've ever seen,” Fulwood said. “It was just how everybody thought it was going to be – a low-scoring where one team was going to have to make a big play to win the game. That's exactly what LSU did with the interception and they came out with the win.”
