Bradenton (Fla.) Manatee wide receiver Ja Juan Pollock understands he will need to have a big season for his recruitment to take off. However, the 5-foot-8, 160-pound senior has been proactive with his recruitment and took and unofficial visit to Florida International on Tuesday.
"I've been in touch with their coaches here and there," Pollock said. "They like to go after players that are a little under-the-radar and find some diamonds in the rough like T.Y. Hilton."
Pollock was hoping for a big junior year catching passes from Mississippi State commit Cord Sandberg but it never materialized after Manatee decided to change the offense around.
