Three-star running back Jamari Smith (Neptune Beach, Fla./Fletcher) committed to South Carolina on Sunday, becoming the Gamecocks' 19th commitment in the class of 2013.
Smith, who rushed for more than 2,000 yards and 24 touchdowns as a junior, chose South Carolina over Auburn and Wake Forest.
"Jamari actually went to visit Auburn this weekend," said Fletcher coach Josh Corey. "He had already visited South Carolina in the spring and he wanted to visit Auburn before making a decision.
